A nature and meditation DVD-film
Jiddu Krishnamurti, the Indian philosopher,
mystic and cosmopolite held talks and discussions in Saanen in the Swiss
Alps every year for more than 20 years. Between his public appearances
he used to take walks nearly every day. This movie follows him on his
steps into freedom without orthodoxy and compromise. In 1961, Krishnamurti
spent the late summer and autumn in Saanen for the first time. After his
walks he noted his perceptions and his awareness in his diary. It is extraordinary
document of a journey in a pathless land. Krishnamurti said once about
his walks: When I walk, I dont think, there is no thought.
I just look
I think my solitary walks must have done something.
The film starts with the sky at night in Saanenland,
fades in to dawn over the Lake Lauenen, trys to see with Krishnamurti's
eyes, it depicts his classical themes of dieing, death, emptyness and
love, begins a new day with a walk in the morning, shows the work
of the mountain farmers, explains Krishnamurti's definition of meditation
and closes the circle with the sunset into the sky at night.
